Memory Ram Question?

I have a OCZ 1066mhz sli rdy ram, my motherboard is EVGA 680I se. however bios solely show my ram speed as 667mhz stock vice 1066, but i try i could oc to 1066, did i over do it? or newly they false advertisement?

Memory Ram Question?

Check the frontside bus speed (system bus) and trade name sure it's running at 266MHz if you have an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. That's because the newer CPU's from Intel use a 1066MHz frontside bus (FSB), which is really the true bus speed times 4.

If that's OK, after we would need to know more roughly speaking the CPU you're using.
i have matching mobo, you should be okay to put the settings at the speeds the manufacturer said the run into can run. for example the voltage on my patriot ram be at 1.5 but was advertise at 2.2. i changed it no prob. same with the timing. be advert at 4-4-4-12 but was running at 5-5-5-something. changed it np. you SHOULD be ok
First, you must consult your motherboard for the maximum memory speed that it can support. The motherboard have set the memory type that they can support. Memory speed is independent to that of the motherboard, the motherboard is the one who controls the speed which he shows on the screen. Not adjectives motherboard supports overclocking.

Special Note: Overclocking can damage parts of your PC. Goodluck.
It sounds resembling your bios was set to set up default This is so your computer will boot and you then vary your settings the way you did. You should be fine. Its not false trailer ; just guarded manufacturer.
