Modem does not work serve?

i hold a NETGEAR 108 mbps Wireless ADSL modem router it turns on seems to work fine but it does not procure picked up by anything and does not connect to the internet any help would be adjectives.

First of all - it is any a modem or a router! Modems handle lower banwidth speeds where on earth routers handle more recent mega-speed 8Mb+ connections.

Try un-installing the software and re-installing it. If that dont work, check surrounded by network connections and receive sure it is enabled (goto properties).

Has it ever worked before?

What change have you made to your PC since? (presuming it have previously worked).

Try this: Click start >run >type cmd and in the Dos peak type: ipconfig and hit enter. You should see your IP address, default gateway and other info. Note it down. If you see a series of 0,0,0,0 surrounded by this info - you'll never get connected.

If so, presently type this: ipconfig /renew and enter.

Check your protocols these devices a short time ago don't stop working. Make sure you got client for Microsoft Networks, TCP/IP checked surrounded by my network places.Make sure that you hold a workable phone line for your asdl router.
