MY computer wont startup?

Hey, i own an HP pavilion pc, running window xp. its fairly elderly, but the problem is that recently it merely stopped. i turn it on and the computer itself turns on, but the monitor doesnt. i know the monitor is working fine, it says No Signal race have said it could be the video card, so i took it out and put it pay for in. and it still say No Signal. and the little light on the computer, the washed out one that blinks when its working, well isnt blinking at adjectives. its like it starts up for a few second then lately stays on but doesnt do anything. i dont know what it could be, any help would be obedient.

Thanks

MY computer wont startup?

Take every peripheral stale the motherboard (CDROM, Floppy, NIC) and boot it up with merely video and hard drive.

Remove even mouse and the ivories cables from PC..merely thing should be monitor.

If it boots up, one of the items you unplugged is the problem.

Plug contained by one by one and boot to narrow it down.

If it does not boot up it could be video card.
Did you try replacing the video card? Or did you lately put the same one support in? Hey how are you writing this sound out anyways??
make sure your plugs surrounded by the back are hooked up well brought-up and tight
Try removing and reseating your memory stick, plus make sure that adjectives your cables etc are connected correctly, also you dont read out what type of video card you have ? if it happen to be a pci card try taking it out and refitting it in a different pci slot
