my desktop is lost. it is nowhere within sight i know within is a way to bring it back but i dont know how, its be like this for 5 days. plzz relief please

When you say your desktop have gone, do you mean your icon?
If so, to get them backbone right click the desktop>arrange icons by>show desktop icon
Hold down the Windows key(next to Alt) and push the d key.
I tried douglas M's theory didn't work please follow Mjet's answer.
When you start up the computer, repeatedly press F8. Navigate the menu to choose the option to start your computer next to the settings applied the last time your computer started successfully.
