My HP computer (OS XP) needed to be recovered to factory specifications, but it will not reboot very soon. Advice?

The computer attempts to reboot, but a spy comes up on the blank screen axiom something is compressed (several consonants) and press control / alt / delete to reboot. This happened earlier, and a techician said something about a user divider that I am not familiar near, but I don't want to take his time again, if I can find the answer here.

Look in your taskbar for the jargon bar.

If it's not nearby right click the taskbar, go to Toolbars and tick the Language Bar.

Now click the button that appears (or that be already there :P), it should say aloud EN

Go into settings and change the defaulting input language to any UK or US (which ever one you're from!)
In windows XP look for regional settings surrounded by the control panel..

cant remember exactly im on vista atm...u need to conversion the keyboard to the right country...similar to UK...for me..



On vista it is as follows:

Start > Control Panel > Change Keyboard or other input methods > Change Keyboards. Add for your country and then remove the other one.
try another grand piano, preferbaly a non USB one, and if that works, then yeah its that baby grand.

Hey, my desktop computer of late recently crapped out it seem. At first when I reboot it seems fine, but afterwards when it says Primary Master, Primary Slave, etc. my thorny drive isn't read. Does anyone know what the problem could be?

Shutdown your computer and check harddrive wiring and pullover setting on all devices connected to this harddrive next to the same cable. There can't be more afterwards one Master and Slave on the same controller. Also if you chose a CS (Cable Select) route on one of them the rest MUST be set to CS as well.

Reboot your computer and while it boots stop the process to enter BIOS. Check if you can detect your harddrive in attendance.

If it is not a system drive and you can boot windows, unscrew <Control Panel><Administrative Tools><Computer Management>

Got to Storage, Disk Management

Check if you can see you drive there.



If nought worked, it sounds as a bad drive. You conceivably able to salvage some notes from it, but not use it.

Now i hv hot hdd of 80 gb and i hv the crashed one out. Now i want to check whether the data contained by the crashed HDD can be retrieved. I heard that if two wires at the back the cd-rom are connected to HDD then it read it. Now how do i extract the datas inside my crashed Hdd. Please explain the process of extraction.

Well, we can hope that it's still there. Anyway, if it is, you can turn to your nearest computer service center. I would not think of doing it myself, grounds one wrong move could remove all of the information in it, completely. Good luck
You will requirement a DATA Recovery software and someone who knows how to use it.
if you plug the weak hard drive into your notebook and boot into windows, budge to my computer and your old complex drive should show up. double click on the icon for the out-of-date hard drive shift in and copy adjectives the files you want out of it onto your new easier said than done drive. there should be no problems unless you have a password on your pc, if you did you can forget getting any of your documents, because it will voice they are not accessible.

try chaning it to resembling 16 bit or 32 bit, if that doesnt work, go to your my computer and right click on it, stir to properties-Hardware-Device manager consequently look to see if you have and Question grades, if you do install them , if you dont look for your graphics tab, and then reinstall it from nearby.

It depends on how weak the system is. It may only be the monitor or the graphics card.
Its a possibility thats u nd to make over ur monitor or ur graphic card. Try swapping beside another monitor for a start then ur illustrative card first b4 u decide to redeploy a new 1.
1st testing with other monitor on the computer newly to make sure your monitor cable is ok if so

You can carry a hold of an old window xp cd and reformat the computer with it. Usually when u put the cd contained by and boot up your computer it asks if you want to boot from the cd. So you do that and it pretty much takes it from nearby all you enjoy to do is watch and hit a couple buttons and configure the computer and convey it to format the hard drive. But doing so will raison d`¨otre you to lose everything on your computer!! Like your software you have loaded on your computer and word files, pictures and music. But it will also run alot faster after. So do so at your own risk.
simply format it with xp, do you hold a copy of xp? i formated both of the computers we just bought stern to xp ,, i didnt like vista any
Just get your window xp disk and put it into your cd rom player and install it, if you dont have the disk you will own to go buy xp.
All you enjoy to do is to purchase a genuine Windows XP CD-installer and reinstall Windows XP. Unless beforehand Windows Vista was installed you have two partitions... Drive C: and Drive D:. If you own a stored image of Windows XP contained by either drive after restore your system back to that model. But in satchel it doesn't work and it needs to be impressive I recommend reinstalling Windows XP.
