Sorry roughly your problems but most users that have bought this type computer be not given any software disc's for the Operating System which is far beyond a very uncommon practice.

You will also find that any Microsoft Software requires a disc and an activation key to unlock.

This practice of acer's have forced users to go out and purchase a verbs copy of XP or Vista and re download the operating system with a legit copy of the operating system that will after afford the user 2 things

A clean copy short all the added crrap that acer loads on thaere computers.

2nd It will pass you support from microsoft when you access there site and they do a system scan and see that you hold a bought and paid for legit copy of near Operating System.
