I've get a unknown macbook what is the best virus protection, and what is built into the computer?

It will enjoy a firewall built in, step to system preferences, sharing and turn it on. I also use Net Barrier and it's proved so successful in stopping pinging probes I don't grasp them any more.
on mine Mac said no need to download one.up to immediately no probs(one year)
