Not going to convey Roxio $15.00. Will Vista SP1 address this when released presumably in December according to an Intel leach? Anyway around it in the meantime?
Still own my PS2 anyway, but somewhat ticked off in the order of spending cash for a top smudge computer, and a basic function is an extra charge/hassle. Please no re-installing XP counsel and Thanks for any imput!
Is nearby a bearing to see DVD's on Vista minus buying a decoder?
Yeah there's a way, Windows Media Player, they added a DVD decoder next to version 11, which ships standard beside all edition of Vista, unless you live in Europe where on earth you have to turn to the Microsoft website and download it for free.
I recommend using VLC media player (it can play anything). Best cog is it's free and completely free of spyware. It is also the most popular player out there.
VLC medium player is a highly portable multimedia player for an assortment of audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and a mixture of streaming protocols.
Vista Home Premium has a built within Media Center, that plays DVD's. Unless of course you bought Vista Home Basic, that doesn't play DVD's.
Try PowerDVD for Vista

Try VLC and BSplayer. Pick the one that suits your tastes. I also recommend http://filehippo.com for tons of great software!
